Can you describe your LEADERSHIP journey across geographies and how has each role shaped your leadership style?

In my leadership roles across Switzerland, USA, EU and India, I learned that connection, trust, and shared goals are common universal needs across geographies. Recognizing these early, enabled me to navigate cross-cultural landscapes, lead global teams, and drive impactful results. As a CXO, my focus has been on creating innovative, consumer-centric products in health and education—vital pillars of economic and societal progress. A healthy, educated population boosts productivity, reduces costs, and fosters sustainable growth. Each product launch underscored the importance of agility in understanding consumer needs and market trends, and building scalable solutions. Working with diverse stakeholders enhanced my skills in addressing dynamic market needs, while managing regulatory and security complexities. Being part of the HanoomanAI—multilingual, multimodal GenAI platform—has been particularly exhilarating, placing us at the cutting edge of AI innovation for richer, faster solutions across sectors. I embrace democratic leadership, prioritizing team empowerment and development. This approach has fostered an agile, resilient workforce aligned with organizational goals. Global experiences have expanded my perspective, allowing me to adapt strategies across cultural contexts and drive meaningful outcomes with a unified vision.

How do you craft a long-term strategy for a company that operates in such a cutting-edge and fast-moving field like AI-driven healthcare?

Crafting a long-term strategy for an AI-driven healthcare company involves balancing innovation, adaptability, scalability, and structure. My strategy starts with understanding market needs and applying first principles to identify gaps. Integrating GenAI with static and dynamic health data transforms healthcare through real-time monitoring, predictive diagnostics, and personalized treatments, advancing precision nutrition, precision medicine, and disease management. Multilingual, multimodal GenAI with Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) breaks language barriers, enabling consumers to interact in native languages. ASR supports telemedicine, symptom reporting, and healthcare management for non-native speakers, enhancing accessibility. Building trust through ethical AI development, compliance, scalable SaaS/PaaS models, and GenAI training fosters a skilled workforce and prepares future leaders.

Can you share an example of a difficult decision you had to make as a leader, and how you navigated that challenge?

As CEO of a MedTech company, one of my toughest decisions was leading a large-scale digital transformation in medical education—moving from traditional methods to interactive 3D content, including AI-driven adaptive learning and assessments. The challenge was balancing innovation with resistance to technology from medical institutions, internal stakeholders and investors concerned about disrupting existing business models. I opted for a phased approach, launching a pilot in select regions and engaging stakeholders through open dialogues to address concerns. This strategy secured buy-in, attracted partnerships, and positioned us as a leader in digital medical education, earning recognition in “Silicon Valley Top 20 Technology & Innovative Companies Started and Run by Indian CEOs in the United States”. This experience emphasized the value of strategic flexibility, stakeholder management, and effective communication in driving successful large-scale transformation.

How do you approach mentoring and developing future leaders in your organization?

As a CXO across multilingual, multicultural regions, I led diverse teams spanning strategy, business analysis, product, design, tech, and marketing. Key to this role was aligning everyone to a unified “One Vision, One Goal” and fostering trust. Leading by example, I built a culture of giving, collaboration, and hands-on involvement. My focus was on hiring, training, and blending complementary skill sets to transform actionable into deliverables and assumptions into validations. Personalized one-on-one sessions helped align individual strengths and goals, nurturing strong bonds and empowering decision-making. Regular feedback and coaching fostered a culture of confidence and continuous improvement. To drive innovation, I introduced brainstorming techniques like lateral thinking, first-principles, mind mapping, and question storming. This approach encouraged active participation, enabling us to ideate consistently and create scalable solutions while celebrating each team member’s contributions, cultivating a growth mindset essential in today’s fast-paced business environment.

In your demanding roles, how do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?

Balancing the demands of being a product and business leader while maintaining a healthy work-life balance is challenging, but achievable through prioritization and adaptability. I have adopted ‘intentional leadership,’ focusing on impact over hours, and fostering a culture of ownership and accountability within my teams. By empowering my team to make decisions, I create space for personal growth, wellness, and family essential pillars for sustainable success. Integrating well-being routines into my day keeps my mind and body fit, enhancing clarity and resilience. Adapting my leadership style to different cultural contexts allows me to not only manage but truly enjoy high-pressure responsibilities while ensuring time for personal development and family life. This approach has shown me that balance is not about perfection, but about setting priorities that align with both professional and personal goals.
