Starting March 22, 2024, the first clash between former and five-time champion Chennai Super Kings led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, popularly known as M. S. Dhoni vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore Led by former South African captain Francious Du Plesis, popularly known as Faf-du-plesis, although BCCI has yet to announce a complete schedule. The board has announced 21 first matches of the IPL.
